Getting Ready Mind Set ✏️ 📘

As the school year begins in many parts of the world, I want to wish all educators and students a very successful school year.  Remember that school represents a symbiotic relationship.  Teachers teaching and Students learning, go hand in hand.
Here are a few tips to get your relationship started on your year.

                                                   `````````````````````````````````
  1. Remember to be responsible. You have a job to do that requires you to be dependable.
  2. Let respect be apart of your daily interaction with others.  Value everyone and everything.
  3. Preparation is key.  Get all of your materials ready ahead of time.   This will alleviate a lot of stress.
  4. Be prepared to play your part in the institution.  If you are a teacher, be serious about your craft.  If you are a student be serious about learning.
  5. Discipline is a rewarding practice.  Remember to follow instructions and do what is asked of you.  Self-control is admirable.
  6. Diffuse any stressful situation as soon as they happen.
  7. Discipline, Respect, Self-Control
         Keep Everything Simple: 🔔 📚
  1. Collect and use boxes, bags, or cans, to help keep school supplies organized.  Label containers... WORK TO BE CORRECTED   WORK TO BE RETURNED   HOMEWORK   CRAYONS      PENCILS          ERASERS      COUNTERS       RULERS
  2. Make the classroom colorful.  If you don’t have butcher paper, use what you have!  Pieces of cloth can decorate specific areas of the room.  Use plaid scarfs for example to give room the authentic “country” feel.
  3. Put a green plant, the branch of a tree, or something from the garden inside the classroom.
  4. Designate an area to be the “Creative Corner”.  This is an area for kids to play games, create puzzles, draw or color.
  5. Create a library corner.  Even if you have few books, designate an area for kids to sit and read.  (Start thinking about children writing their own books).
 📚Here are some simple organizational ideas you can use to make your life more manageable.
1.  Use boxes, bags, or cans, to help keep school supplies organized. Label
     containers for items ...
          HOMEWORK         LINED PAPER        THINGS FOR ME TO REVIEW     CRAYONS
                                                        PENS/PENCILS/ERASERS         LUNCH
2.  Hang children’s corrected work /art work etc. throughout the house on string,  or
      ribbon for everyone to see.
3. Make snacks/lunches before going to bed to help free up your time in the
     morning.
4.  Have an assigned place in the house for your child to do school work, and keep
      that practice consistent.
5. Let your child be apart of the “Back-To-School organizing process by asking
     him/her for ideas.  This will make your child have “buy in” to his/her learning.
