POSITIVE TASK #2: Be Kind and Humble

Many people depending on where they are from, or where they grew up, know how important it is to be humble and kind.  Being humble requires the ability to recognize your worth, but at the same time demonstrating a certain degree of modesty about your own importance.  This maybe difficult for some people, but it can be done.  Being kind requires one to examine themselves, do some self-reflection, and decide on a plan of action.  Do I want to be a “show off?”  Do I want to do something negative or positive?, How might I choose to handle any situation that I encounter?  How does being kind and humble help you one might ask?  Well, it certainly doesn’t always bring you fame and fortune, but when  bended with a warm, caring, personality, it can bring you positive recognition that sometimes is more than fame or fortune.  It is a quality though, that endears you to people, that makes them want to be in your presence.

How can we show kindness and humility.  Some actions include…
  • not putting other people down
  • not telling others people that you are better than them
  • sharing what you have with others
  • Using positive words in your conversations or
  • Not always talking about yourself in an effort to put others down

Share with others how one can be humble and kind.
