1st: National Author’s Day:  Read a book written by your favorite author. 
       National Family Literacy Day:  Read as many things as you can as a family
                                                                          and share what you read.
10th: Sesame Street Debuted: Create your own Sesame Street character that
                                                                   will continue to teach kids how to be smarter,

                                                                   kinder, and stronger
11th: Veteran’s Day:  An American holiday honoring military veterans. It is
                                             celebrated in the United States or where ever a veteran

                                             lives in the world.
 
17th. Take a Hike Day: I love to hike!  Grab a friend or family member and go
                                                on a long hike.
18th: Mickey Mouse’s Birthday: Draw a picture of Mickey Mouse for a young
                                                                     friend or family member.
 
22nd: Stop The Violence Day:  Make a list of at least 5 things people can do to
                                                                  cooperate with others.
25th: Thanksgiving Day in the US:  The fourth Thursday in November is set
                                                                            aside in the US to give thanks.
29th: King Tut's Tomb Opened (1922): What do you know about King Tut? Do
                                                                                    some research then share your findings

                                                                                    with your family.
