December Literary Mix

1st: Rosa Parks Day. Read anything you can about Rosa Parks.


3rd: International Day of Persons with Disabilities.  What would
        you like to see changed for people with disabilities?  Write to the mayor
        of your city and share your ideas. 


4th: National Cookie Day.  Get the family together and bake the best
                                                       Christmas cookies. Share with others. 


11th: UNICEF Anniversary. What can you do in your community to help this organization?  
​         Get started now. 


12th: Poinsettia Day.  Make Christmas decorations out of paper poinsettia and share
         with others.


13th: National Cocoa Day.  Help a parent celebrate this day by making hot cocoa 
​         and drinking it at 6:00pm.


21st: First Day of Winter.  She with others what winter means to people where you live. 


25th: Christmas Day.  MERRY CHRISTMAS!  How will you celebrate today? 


26th: Kwanzaa Begins.  Learn about the 7 principles of Kwanzaa and practice them each day of Kwanzaa.


31st: New Year’s Eve.  What are your goals for the new year? Write down your goals for 2018.
